Keeping you in view locally

About the magazine

My Local View Magazine is a friendly, resident focused magazine in Caerphilly, South Wales.

My name is Paul Adamson, the chief cook and bottle washer at the magazine and I want to take a couple of minutes to give you an insight into the publications main aims, objectives and benefits to you.

I launched my monthly publication in April 2006 to give local residents and small business owners like you, an alternative way of communicating directly to other local people in Caerphilly. The format is popular as as the magazine offers a convenient A5 publication, delivered door to door with affordable prices for local businesses.

The magazine originally started with a circulation of 1800 mags, covering Hendredenny and Castle View and was intended as a “hobby” whilst I was looking for full time work following voluntary redundancy. Local businesses came onboard, as did local good causes, charities and writers and my “little hobby” has become a full time job, with a circulation of 11,000+ – a fantastic job that has given me a privileged insight to the issues faced by local causes!

My mission statement is:

to provide businesses:
Consistent, reliable delivery of 11,000+ magazines a month, delivered door to door….guaranteed!
Advice to local businesses to maximise their return on investment.
Fair and transparent pricing – Our prices are always shown on our website and we have a policy of discounting bookings over 3 months.
Regular visits or telephone conversations to ensure our customers are happy with the service provided and ad performance.

to provide the community:
A balanced magazine with at least 25% of local editorials, event information, puzzles and competitions. An “easy access” policy so that local people are comfortable to call me and discuss article ideas and list events. Provide access to local businesses to promote the support of the local economy.
